• Fennville Public Schools Board of Education

    The Fennville Public Schools Board of Education is comprised of 7 members elected every two years to six-year terms. Board meetings take place regularly in the Board of Education room, which can be found in the Central Administration Building (North/West corner of Fennville Middle School).

Tobias HutchinsBoard President

Toby is a 2011 graduate of Fennville High School. After graduating, he went on to earn a bachelor's degree from Grand Valley State University in 2014 and a master's degree in higher education from the University of Michigan in 2017. He currently works for Hope College Upward Bound as their Retention Specialist. Mr. Hutchins has also worked at Lake Michigan College and has also worked as an adjunct professor at Grand Rapids and Muskegon Community Colleges.



Natalie BustillosTrustee

Natalie was born and raised in Fennville, MI. Natalie is a 2005 graduate of Fennville High School. Currently seeking a Business Degree at Lake Michigan College. Natalie currently works at Golden Orchards in Fennville as their Executive Director; has worked for the company for 15 years. Natalie has three kids in FPS; her oldest daughter Kaniya is 15 years old in High School, Olivia and Miami in Elementary.



Paul HapkeBoard Treasurer

Paul Hapke is the Fire Chief of Fennville Area Fire Department. He graduated from Fennville High School Class of 1999. He is married to Rebekah Hapke who also graduated from Fennville High School. His oldest son, Ethan is a graduate from Fennville High School and his two youngest Bryce and Isabelle currently attend Fennville Elementary.



Juliet MicheleTrustee

Juliet Michele moved to Fennville in 2003. She and her husband built a home and started a successful small business while also starting a family. Their two children have both gone to school in Fennville since preschool. Juliet is a strong supporter of public schools and community engagement.



Ross ThieleBoard Secretary

Ross is a high school math and physics teacher at Hartford High School. He has his master’s degree from Grand Valley State University in Educational Leadership 2013. He and his family have lived in Fennville since 2009. His wife Stacy is a Spanish and ESL teacher and their two children are currently attending the elementary.

Angie Pena-SmithTrustee

Angie is a parent, PTO member and a small business owner in the Fennville community. She has also volunteered as a Fennville Community Recreation coach since 2014. She has coached t-ball, soccer and most recently was an assistant coach for her daughter’s basketball team. Now she looks to serve the Fennville Community by being a part of the Board of Education.
