  • Student Council

The Fennville High School Student Council offers students a unique opportunity to learn about democracy and leadership while serving the student body. Grade level officers and representatives share classmates' ideas as well as their concerns with the council advisor, the principal, and teachers. The FHS Council supports local canned food drives, sponsors community blood drives, and raises money to purchase clothing, health, and beauty items for students in need. Additionally, the FHS Council sponsors Spirit Week for both Homecoming and Snowcoming, along with a variety of other student-led activities.

  • Quiz Bowl

Quiz bowl is an opportunity for students to test their knowledge on a wide range of topics.
Students spend time preparing and practicing to compete against other SAC schools in this academic
challenge. This is a great opportunity to further their learning while having a great time.
  • Ski Club

Fennville High School and Middle School run a combined program for those students interested in hitting the slopes! Called the Snowhawks, the Fennville Ski Club provides students with a fun outdoor activity. The goal is to help first timers become beginners, beginners to become experienced, and the experienced to become skilled skiers.  The cost to join is $15 for your Ski Club Card, which then reduces the rental and lift ticket to only $30 each time students go.

For more information, please contact Mr. Mark Gray at the middle school.

  • National Honor Society

National Honor Society (NHS) membership has been the true mark of student achievement for over 100 years, but it goes far beyond a report card. By empowering, championing, and recognizing well-rounded students, NHS provides schools with a values-based framework to elevate a culture of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.

    national honor society

Students who meet the 4 pillars of the National Honor Society - Scholarship, Service, Leadership and Character, can be inducted into the Fennville High School Chapter of the National Honor Society.

  • Choir

The Fenntastics are a group of hard-working, talented students. They are a three-part, non-audition mixed choir who strive to sing a varied repertoire of music from the styles of Irving Berlin to Mozart. They participate in music festivals such as the Michigan School Vocal Music Association District Large festival and have opportunities for solos and small ensembles.  They perform yearly for the elementary students, sing a Fall concert, Winter Concert, Spring Concert and for MSVMA District Choral Festival. Fenntastics received an “Excellent” rating in 2014 and 2015. . They are very proud of their singing and sight-reading skills. Admission to their concerts are always free.

The Chamber Choir is an audition select choir, that sings four-part a cappella music. There are twenty members that are selected on vocal quality, sight reading, and stage presence. These members are required to learn their own SATB literature along with the SAB music of Fenntastics. Chamber Choir has auditioned for MSVMA Region B Honors Choir, with eleven members making this high honor in the 2013-2014, 11 members making the choir in 2014-25 and twelve members making it for the 2015-16 school year.  We have had several students make MSVMA State Honor Choir held in Grand Rapids, Michigan for the annual MENC conference.  In 2014: 1 male student, 2015: 4 male students and 2016: 5, 1 female and 4 male students.  This smaller choir is also active in singing the Star-Spangled Banner at school events, special assemblies such as Veterans Day, Community Christmas Teas, Goose Festival and encourages participation in taking solos to festival in February. Chamber Choir also performs at these events as a small ensemble.  Graduation and joining the larger choir for a spring concert and elementary performance rounds out the end of the school year.
