Board of Education

Manny is a 1991 graduate of Pearl Adult School (now known as Fennville Alternative High School) and has served on the board since 2017. He has been employed by Tennant Company for 34 years.

Manny has 3 kids, the oldest are FHS alumni and his youngest currently attends FHS. An avid sports fan, Manny can be found volunteering his time as the videographer for the football and basketball teams. He has spent countless hours working with the Fennville Athletic Boosters and was a rec coach when his kids were younger.

When asked what he loves about Fennville and FPS Manny replied, “I love the small-town atmosphere and the way we all look out for each other.”

Manny loves spending time with family and friends…especially at Ford Field…Go Lions!

Ross moved to Fennville in 2009 and has served on the Board of Education since 2018. He is a graduate of WMU and GVSU and holds a master’s degree in Educational Leadership. Ross has been a high school science and math teacher since 2005 and has also coached pole vault and wrestling.

When asked what he loves about FPS Ross replied “The teachers and the various support staff groups are dedicated to serving our children. My service on the board is in support of their efforts.” His 2 children currently attend Fennville Elementary.

Ross spends his free time gardening, hunting, and reading science & history magazines. Fun Fact…he has solar panels, and his electric bill is less than $15 a month!

Angie is a 2002 graduate of FHS and has served on the board since 2023. She has an Associate Degree in Applied Science for Web and Graphic Design from KVCC and is a self-taught Independent Photographer specializing in sports, seniors and family photos.

Angie has children in all 3 buildings in the district and currently serves as the President of the Fennville Middle School Parent Teacher Student Organization. She has volunteered as a Community Rec coach since 2014, is in her 3rd year as a mentor at FES and volunteers with the Elementary PTO and Ladders of Hope Food Pantry.

When she is not working or volunteering, she enjoys playing board games, spending time outdoors with her family, exploring new places and trying new things. Her favorite thing about Fennville is the way that everyone always comes together to support one another.

Fun Fact…Angie’s family has 15 animals... 10 chickens, 2 cats, 1 dog, 1 guinea pig and 1 bearded dragon!

Juliet is a ’96 graduate of Troy Athens HS and moved to Fennville in 2003. She has a Bachelor of Fine Art in Communication Design from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY and is a local small business owner.

Juliet’s kids attend FMS and FHS. She volunteers her time with the High School Board Game Club, Middle School Art Club, and the Goose Festival Committee. Juliet is also part of the Ski Patrol at Bittersweet.

When asked what she loves about Fennville and FPS Juliet replied, “I love the diversity of the area, the rural setting near lakes and nature, and that Fennville is filled with great, down to earth people.”

Juliet can be found snowboarding, sailing, cooking, going to music festivals and traveling…when she’s not driving her kids around to their activities! She also loves hanging with her awesome standard poodle, Louis!

Paul is a 1999 graduate of FHS and has served on the Board of Education since 2020. His wife, Rebekah (also an FHS Alumni), is a secretary at Fennville Elementary, where their youngest 2 kids attend. Their oldest son is a 2020 FHS graduate. Paul attended the Fire Academy and serves as the Fire Chief of the Fennville Area Fire Department.

The close-knit community is one of the things Paul said he loves about Fennville, he stays involved in the community by mentoring 2 students at FES and 1 at FMS. Paul enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and kids and taking time to go camping.

Natalie is a 2005 graduate of FHS and has served on the Board of Education since 2022. As a “Super Human”, she makes it look easy juggling 5 kids, attending Lake Michigan College, serving as the Executive Director at Golden Orchards, and finding time to attend not only her kids games but also those of her nieces and nephews. She also takes the residents of Golden Orchards to Fennville Elementary for reading time with the 2nd Graders!

Natalie is family oriented and can always be found at FPS sporting events, gardening, and cooking. Her daughter Kaniya attends FHS and daughters Olivia & Miami attend FES.

When asked what she loves about the Fennville Community and FPS Natalie replied “Family knit, everyone is always willing to help out no matter the circumstances. I love to make a difference in our community, seeing the vision and goals for our students.”
